This applies to every car, jeep, or van heading up those slopes — no pass, no entry, so it's worth booking a day ahead of your trek or viewpoint run.

  • Book your pass online in advance via the official Chikmagalur Tourism portal (karnataka.gov.in).
  • Entries are capped by time slot (typically morning and afternoon slots) and by vehicle type, so weekend and peak-season slots can fill up fast — plan ahead rather than showing up and hoping.
