About Samarya

A Small Hill‑Side House for Big Ideas and Simple Joys

Story & philosophy

When we first walked into that half-built property on the road towards Hirekolale Lake, it was meant to be a simple homestay. But something about the way it sat between the coffee plantations made us stop and look a little longer than we planned.

That’s when it clicked. This place wasn’t meant to be ordinary.

We started seeing what it could be. An infinity pool looking out over the plantation. Mornings with mist and birdsong. Evenings that turn into something you didn’t plan but won’t forget. And somewhere in the middle of all that, a café where your best ideas show up uninvited, between a good cup of coffee and a view that has no business being that beautiful.

We built Samarya for every kind of traveller. The digital nomad who needs fast WiFi, a proper workspace and a café that doesn’t kick you out after an hour. The introvert who needs a quiet corner. The extrovert who comes alive around a bonfire. The weekend couple. The slow traveller who hasn’t had a real home base in months.

When you sit around with strangers in a place this beautiful, the differences stop mattering pretty quickly. Someone passes you a drink. Someone else starts a conversation. And just like that, you’re not strangers anymore.

That’s the Samarya we set out to build.
